Gothica (Drama) from ABC
A modern-day Gothic soap that weaves together the mythologies of Dracula, Jekyll and Hyde, Frankenstein and Dorian Gray, among others.
Because, hey, I’m all for more retelling of mythologies and fairytales. Plus there are Chris Egan and Seth Gabel(!) involved.
Influence (Drama) from ABC
A workplace ensemble centered on the relationship between two brothers — a bipolar genius in human psychology and a slick ex-con — who head a unique agency designed to solve problems using the real science of human motivation and manipulation.
Hell yeah! I don’t care that I don’t know any of the cast, simply the summary is sufficient to guarantee me checking out this pilot. Dysfunctional family? Assumed. Intriguing characters? Check. Con man? Check. Science mumbo jumbo? Check and double-check!
Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D. (Drama) from ABC
The adventures of the agents of a covert, quasi-military peace-keeping organization, S.H.I.E.L.D. (or the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division), which was featured in last summer’s Avengers movie.
Boomerang (Drama) from FOX
Focuses on the usual, everyday drama surrounding a family business — except this family is in the business of executing hits as assassins for the U.S. government.
Oooooh, interesting. A family full of assassins. Yet I detect a touch of comedy in there.
Almost Human (Drama) from FOX - GREENLIT!
An action-packed buddy cop show set in the near future when all LAPD officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids.
Ok, so sue me. I’m a sucker for anything from Abrams, and, well, come on! human-like androids, how can you say no to that?
The Blacklist (Drama) from NBC
The world’s most wanted criminal suddenly turns himself in and offers to give up anyone he’s ever worked with. The catch: He’ll only work with a new FBI agent, one with whom he has no known connection.
This does not sound too out-there, but if the execution’s right, it’ll still make a pretty interesting drama, IMO.

Kangen maen gitar.
This is all because of Goo Goo Dolls’ ‘Iris’. Oh man, I miss my guitar teacher too. Mr. Didik, where are you right now? :’-)
I’m convinced that Sugarcult’s “Back to California” and Boys Like Girls’ “Leaving California” is essentially the same story, but told by his and her (or his and his) point of view.
Now I’m leaving California and I’ll never look back
I took a picture for you but I painted it black
One more dream around a run away drive
Now there’s one less burned out star in the sky
Leaving California tonight
I’ve got a one way ticket, I’m a rolling stone
I’m a goodbye kiss and then I’m going, going, gone
Like wind, like fire, like rain
Know I’m never coming back again
How long I’ll wait
Just to say goodbye, say goodbye
Leave it all the fights and all
Summer’s getting colder
Drive all night to hold you tight
Back to California
Days went by
We waited and I guess we’re getting older
We couldn’t win in the end
Maybe it’s the true Introvert in me, maybe it’s the damn hormones, I don’t know, but I’ve been so easily irritable lately. But mainly because people kept interrupting my line of thoughts (Now I know how Sherlock feels!) and I felt like they were violating my space.
I don’t like it when people keep asking me ‘Have you got ideas yet?’ and ‘How’s the project coming along?’ over and over again. First, this is the weekend, and you’re not actually my boss or also work on the project, so chill out. I don’t know why you care, you probably just do (or you have ulterior motive, I don’t know) but it just feels like you nag about it, and I hate people nagging and breathing down my neck. And, please, asking once is enough!
I haven’t really say anything though, because, well, it’s probably just because I’m overly sensitive right now. Hormones totally messes me up these last few days.
